Essie nail varnishes from £1.99

Everyone loves Essie nail varnishes if it’s not for their wonderful formula then their cute little varnish bottles.
But I’m not a fan of paying £7.99 for one nail varnish when I could buy four for the same price.

So… here are some sites you can get Essie from £1.99!

Orange lipsticks - my favourites

I don’t know what it is about orange lipsticks that I love but I find myself reaching for them more often then a pink, nude, red or any other colour for that matter, here are my favourites.

The shade next to the lipstick is orange frost not sunrise, sunrise swatch below

The first is a velvet touch lipstick by GOSH in the shade Sunrise.
It’s a more subtle orange. It’s moisturizing, long-lasting & has perfect pigmentation
The next shade is from Lord & Berry in the shade Orange Frost.
For some reason I can’t upload the swatch of this but you can see it on my hand in the pictures below, it’s also the first shade on the piece of paper in the first picture or this post.
It’s undoubtedly the creamiest lipstick I own, it’s so moisturizing and SO pigmented!
It may pick up as slightly red but it’s actually a darker orange shade.
Lastly is actually a silky cream blush by GOSH in the shade 001 Tropical Breeze.
There’s no harm in using cream blushes on your lips, lots of us use lipsticks as blush after-all.
This is very pigmented for a cream blush, long-wearing and pigmented.
I think this shade would look great on deeper skin tones.
Swatches without flash, from top: Orange frost, Sunrise, Tropical Breeze

Avon Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Mask For All Hair Types Review

“Intensive weekly treatment helps strengthen, nourish and protect hair*. Leav hair revitalised and feeling stronger and nourished from root to tip.* 150ml ”
Avon Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Mask For All Hair Types 150ml £5.50(reg)
I’ve never been a lover of the hair care products from Avon, they’ve left my hair looking and feeling heavy and greasy but when Avon recently brought out their leave in Moroccan oil I tried and loved it, i’ve repurchased it twice since and use it almost everyday.
Therefore, being from the same range I thought i’d love the hair mask but I was suprisingly wrong.
My hair looked more greasy after I had washed it then it did before i’d washed it using this product, it feels heavy and uncomfortable and needs washing again straight away.
It’s controlled the frizz in my hair well and  my dead ends feel nourished but it just doesn’t look good, it claims to nourish your hair from root to tip but I wouldn’t recommend putting this in your roots.
If you have this or still want to try it just use a small amount on your ends and an even smaller amount throughout your hair but avoid your roots.
Overall i’m quite disappointed in this product. Check it out here

My nail varnish storage!

What is the point in using things for what they are made for these days eh? I found this cute -dress shaped- jewellery organiser on littlewoods and thought it would be great to organize my nail varnishes.

Here’s a link to the exact one i’m using: check it

It has 30 clear pockets on the front, some bigger than the other. It’s perfect for organising nail varnish by colour, but you can also organise them by brand if that’s how you roll .

This one cost £15.00

You can look for alternatives by searching for over door orangisers, because I don’t have way too many nail polishes I can use a jewellery one for now but if you own alot more then me you might want to look for a shoe one because the pockets will be larger.

My organiser has enough pockets for me to store other things in like nail glue, nail glitters, top coats, manicure stuff, crackle varnishes and more.

On the back is has some velcro straps to use to hold more jewellery, I don’t own much jewellery so I can use just the back to hold my jewellery and the front for nail varnishes, go organising!

As you can see here I started with nude and moved on to browns, then hot pink, lighter pinks, reds and then oranges.

I then go to yellows, yellowy greens, dark greens, light blues, medium blues and dark blues.

Then onto more redish blues, violets and then dark purples.

Lastly for colour I go back to reds because all my reds wouldn’t fit in one pocket. I’ve left four pockets empty so I can move colours along if I get colours that don’t fit into one of the colour categories i’ve created.
Why some pictures are clear and some are blurry I just don’t know ugh.
Anyway the last twelve to fifteen pockets I use as storage for ‘other’.
This includes stuff like:
Clear polishes and top coats

Crackle varnishes

Nail glitters
My quick drying spray etc.
I also include golds, blacks, silvers and glitter varnishes down here.

The organiser is quick sturdy but i’ve added another hanger to help hold it up because it is very heavy and the hanger it comes with is made from wire and bends the heavier it gets.

What do you think? Would this hold all of your nail varnishes? Any nail varnishes that have caught your eye? Let me know! xoxoxo

Lots of new things have come out recently, or have just come to my attention.
Nivea primer Usually I see primers for oily skin to help it stay ka-put but I feel like I need a primer to add an extra layer between the dryness of my skin and the foundation, this one isn’t pricey so i’ll probably pick it up the next time I go to my superdrug if they stock it yet.
MUA brow kit & Cream blush My superdrug only has a small section for MUA and only really has the £1.00 stuff and foundation. I’ll be lucky if they’ve got the cream blush and brow kit yet, I also want the Artiste Palette but i’ll have to get that off the website because my local superdrug certainly wont have that.
Justin Bieber Girlfriend Perfume Everyone loved his last perfume, I didn’t get a chance to try that but I really want to try this one.
Lookbeauty brow perfect kit  This has everything you need for your brows, and everytime you buy a product from lookbeauty a small donation goes to a breast cancer charity, win win.
Babyliss Hot Rollers I love babyliss and I really want to try some decent hot rollers, yes please to these.

She said beauty box: October review

Fear not! You don’t have to wait until next month for this months beauty box review like the September box.

Septembers box - for me - was so good it would have been hard for October to match it.

This box came with: A small tub of hand cream; A small bottle of cocoa butter by palmers; A sample of black and white head removal gel; A sample of exfoliating scrub; Two samples of night cream and a pack of 30 acai berry vitamins for the sbb treat.

Overall Octobers quite a bleughh.. for me, the worth of this box is far less than the subcription price of £12.95

I thought i’d include the info you get with the box as I was intrigued to actually see what they said before I subscribed.

I don’t actually think this had helped whatsoever with my blackheads, it feels nice and cooling on the skin though, but look at that price ^ that’s a big fat no from me.

Hand cream is something that just doesn’t interest me unless it really stands out with it’s standard of moisturizing or fragrance, i’ve actually given this to my Mum. It’s decent but I wouldn’t repurchase even though it’s only £0.99

I like this but it’s just too expensive, I’d much rather find a cheaper alternative. It exfoliates well though, i’d have liked a bigger sample.

This night cream moisturized my skin nicely, the sachet is enough for one to two uses. This is something i’d consider repurchasing.

This is something I already have plenty of lying about in my house so it was pretty useless to me, but I know already that I like palmers cocoa butter. It moisturizes nicely and the scent is nice.

Personally I didn’t mind receiving pills but I could see that some people wouldn’t want these in their box, I got the acai berry ones - if i’m honest it’s hard to see if they make any difference. I’m glad these were the treat and not one of the actual products.

Overall this box was kind of disappointing, there isn’t really anything in this box i’d rush out to go and buy after trying.

She said beauty box: September review

Whilst it seems pointless to post about last months box and products i’m still excited to rave about it because I honestly think the she said September beauty box is their best box by far.

I’ve worked out that the contents come to around £20-£25, which is good seeing as the subscription price is £9.00 plus postage and packaging of £2.50

The boxes themselves can be very exciting to receive in the post, the pink box on the outside can be cut and used as a drawer organizer and the inner blue box as very pretty storage, perhaps everyday makeup or hair accessories.

Septembers theme was skincare, it came with what I think was six if not full size then very generous samples: A primer and fixing spray from collection formally known as collection 2000; An oil cleanser by DHC; A sachet of a cooling face mask; An exfoliating gel and a packet of popped crisps as a ssb treat.

I can’t help but to look at the sneak peak at the beginning of the months so I always know what’s coming and I was really excited for this one.

This is the box, opened with the contents minus the already eaten crisps which were okaay. I personally hoped for the original flavor as i’m not a fan of barbecue flavored things but they were okay and I ate them regardless (that might have been because I was starving!

Moving on… My preferred products to receive would be makeup items, there’s a slim line between skincare and makeup when it comes to primers and fixing spray but regardless I couldn’t have hoped for better products as I don’t think you can ever have enough primers, and as for the fixing spray I don’t have much to compare it to but i’ve always wanted to try one, it’s nice to try a more inexpensive one before splurging on the skindinavia one or mac fix.

They both work nicely, I think the spray could be a little bigger however it distributes nicely. I’d wait for makeup to try completely before using this.

Sorry for the blurry picture, the concept of this little oil is interesting and scary at the same time, it says it dissolves makeup and dirt from your face and once rinsed away completely disapears. I’m skeptical about putting oils on my face for some reason but this works nicely, it does what it says and for the smallest size seems to last a long while.

I love love love face masks but I have to shudder when I see ‘cooling’ on the sachet because ironically these seem to always burn my skin like crazy. It was uncomfortable to wear but felt nice afterwards. There’s enough for one generous use or two smaller uses. The packaging is so cute though.

It’s hard to decide whether I like the gel or not because when using it in a regime I don’t know which product made my skin feel and look good, I do use it though and it hasn’t broken me out.

I do have to complain about one thing: ugh hello?! it’s OCTOBER! Yes, why did I have to wait until October for my beauty box, I had to email them three times to get it, and finally ( a month later ) I did.

For some reason I only thought it was necessary to take three pictures of the box, however this box was fantastic, definently more like this please ssb!

Click here to go to she said beauty, on this website you can also create your own profile, subscribe to the box, find other beauty bloggers and socialize with other beauty fanatics, great website!

What did you think of this box? Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? What was your favourite product? What was your least?
